Our external packaging is new (Yay!) but some of you may notice that our drink mix packets have our old branding. Fear not, this is not a mistake. You see, we printed a large quantity of the film used to make the sachets last year to gain efficiencies. This is common practice in manufacturing. However, we just couldn’t wait to roll out new cylinder packaging and product improvements. With environmental efficiencies in mind, we decided not to scrap the film. We hope you agree with this decision and thanks for bearing with us through our transition.
Balance Questions
Premama recommends taking Balance on the first day of your menstrual cycle. Should you start at a different point, it is not harmful.
Premama Balance should be taken for 28 consecutive days.
Chasteberry is an herb that is used to help support healthy hormonal balance by promoting optimal pituitary gland function. The pituitary gland controls when and how much hormone is released in your body. It is also known to promote circulation to the uterus and regulate your menstrual cycle while toning the uterine wall and creating the optimal environment for implantation. Chasteberry is a natural source of progesterone. It helps normalize the ratio of progesterone to estrogen, and subsequently provides relief from the monthly experiences associated with premenstrual syndrome including bloating, cramps, breast tenderness, and mood swings.
To learn all about how our cleanse works, check out this blog post.
Estrogen is the primary female sex hormone responsible for the development and regulation of the female reproductive system.
Progesterone is a sex hormone involved in the menstrual cycle and stimulates the uterus to prepare for pregnancy. Insufficient progesterone levels in women can cause many different types of menstrual problems, which include irregular menstrual cycles, luteal phase defects, and increased levels of the prolactin-pituitary hormone. Chasteberry has long been used to treat these issues. Chasteberry can be a great way to balance your hormones naturally, rather than turning to synthetic forms of hormones. It is especially helpful for women who are coming off the birth control pill, as this is a common cause of irregular periods. Chasteberry may be just what you need to jumpstart your regular menstrual cycle.
Helps manage estrogen levels, balances endocrine and nervous systems, balances hormones naturally.
Symptoms of hormonal imbalance include: breast tenderness, weight gain in the abdomens, hips and thighs, decreased libido and irregular menstrual cycles. Premama does not diagnose or treat any of these conditions. If you think you suffer from hormonal imbalance, we recommend consulting your healthcare provider.
Every woman's body is unique, therefore there is no guaranteed timeline in achieving hormonal balance. We recommend taking Balance for your 28-day cycle, but should you feel as though you need to continue for a second or third month before beginning Fertility Support for Her, that is completely OK. The Balance is gentle and homeopathic.
Yes, you sure can! Premama's Birth Control Cleanse is designed for all women looking to balance their hormones after coming off birth control.
Hormonal imbalances trigger fat storage and weight gain, and many other nasty symptoms like PMS, acne, painful breasts, migraines, cellulite, loss of libido, a disrupted monthly cycle, and menopausal issues. A hormone imbalance can make it more challenging to conceive.
Conceive Questions
There is no established timeline for success while taking Premama Fertility Support for Her. There are numerous environmental and genetic factors that can contribute to fertility. Premama does not guarantee that a woman trying to conceive will become pregnant within a set period of time after taking Fertility Support for Her. However, we have many success stories from women who have taken Premama Fertility Support for Her. Read more here and here. We recommend women take Fertility Support for Her for at least 3 months when trying to conceive.
We recommend taking a Premama Prenatal Vitamin in conjunction with Fertility Support for Her to ensure you are receiving all recommended daily nutrients. Always consult your physician prior to taking any supplement to ensure the levels are correct for your body. Fertility Support for Her contains 865mcg of quatrefolic folate and 2000 mg of myo-inositol. The recommended daily dose while trying to conceive is 600 mcg of Folate. We recommend avoiding over consumption of folic acid from supplements, however both of these products contain the natural form Folate, which absorbs differently. Folate is water soluble, and therefore excess will not be stored in the body. Myo-inositol does not have an established daily value. It is considered safe to consume with other vitamins. We always recommend consulting your doctor since all women have different daily value needs.
Based on limited research corroborating the affects of Myo-inositol while breastfeeding, Premama does not recommend taking Fertility Support for Her while breastfeeding and would advise you to consult your physician for more information.
Premama Fertility Support for Her can be taken at any time in your menstrual cycle. It should be taken once daily during the time a person is trying to conceive.
Yes. Women with PCOS or Poly Cystic Ovary Syndrome typically experience irregular periods and struggle with successful ovulation. Fertility Support for Her is made with ingredients that are clinically shown to improve egg quality and ovulation which could help ovulatory activity and fertility in women with PCOS. Of course, Fertility Support for her is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent PCOS. If you have this condition, consult a physician.
Your partner can begin Premama Fertility Support for Him at any time. :)
When consuming Fertility Support for Him, we recommend your partner follow the same timeline as Fertility Support for Her, it can take at least 3 months before one's body begins adjusting to the natural supplement. Check out our Dual Fertility Bundle.
Myo-Inositol is a natural substance found in the B vitamin family. Carry Questions
No. We recommend only taking the daily serving size (4 gummies) of our Organic Prenatal Gummies + Iron & DHA.
The rubber insert inside your pill container is meant to remain to keep freshness and provide a pleasant peppermint scent. Please do not remove your insert to maintain the best experience while taking your prenatals.
Premama Prenatal + DHA Drink Mix, Organic Prenatal Gummies + Iron & DHA, and Prenatal Pill Vitamin contain a compound called docosahexaenoic acid (DHA). DHA is a "good" type of fat called a polyunsaturated omega-3 fatty acid. This type of fat supports fetal brain development because it is an essential component of the myelin sheath, the fatty coating of nerves.* DHA is usually found in the form of fish oil; however, Premama Prenatals are made with life'sDHA, a plant-based source, to accommodate vegan mothers. Life'sDHA was developed by NASA and is a vegan algal oil. It's the only non-fish source of both EPA and DHA on the market, and delivers twice the potency of the highest omega-3 containing species of fish.*
Getting enough DHA during pregnancy can improve behavior, attention, focus, and learning in children. Other benefits of adequate DHA during pregnancy include: reduced risk of allergies in infants and a positive influence on immune development. Lower brain DHA levels are associated with cognitive deficits and increased behavioral indicators of anxiety, aggression, and depression in children.*
Organic Prenatal Gummies + Iron & DHA is formulated with the ingredient Pectin. This ingredient is found in fruits and is often used in medicine to bind substances together.
Peppermint oil in conjunction with B12 helps to ease nausea during pregnancy.* This scent is comforting and provides a pleasant experience while taking your prenatal vitamin.
This innovative technology is contains a smaller capsule within the outer capsule of the pill. The inner capsule of this unique delivery system contains iron and other nutrients that are to be absorbed later in the digestive tract. This helps to alleviate nausea and constipation associated with iron consumption. The outer capsule contains liquid nutrients such as omega-3's that can be absorbed optimally earlier in the digestive tract.

First and foremost, FDA, along with medical community, recognizes the significant role of folate in preventing neural tube birth defects.
In addition, folate plays a role in DNA synthesis and repair, proper cell division, and healthy production of red blood cells.* Folate naturally metabolizes in the small intestine, and requires less effort and burden on the body than folic acid.
Yes, we do. The amount of blood in a woman's body increases during pregnancy until they have almost 50 percent more blood than usual. Pregnant women need extra iron to make more hemoglobin. Iron is especially important in the third trimester when baby starts drawing more from mom. The added bonus of Iron helps healthy red blood cells carry adequate oxygen to your body's tissues. We use gentle Ferrochel Iron because it is more easily absorbed in a woman's body, helping to ease occasional constipation and nausea.
No, Premama Energy Boost drink mix does not contain caffeine and it is completely pregnancy safe.

Probiotics restore the balance of good and non-beneficial bacteria in your digestive tract, where 70% of the body's immune system resides. Balancing this bacreria not only gives your whole immune system a tune up and supports your natural defenses, but also helps your digestive system work better.
Care Questions
No. Premama does not recommend taking Premama Lactation Support while pregnant. The ingredients Fenugreek, Red Raspberry Leaf Powder and Blessed Thistle are not deemed safe for pregnancy by the National Institute of Health.
Fenugreek is a plant that belongs to the pea family. The seed produced by this plant is commonly used in cooking and as an herbal health aid. Historically, Fenugreek has been used to induce childbirth.* Although there has been little research into this claim, the National Institute of Health recommends that women "use caution" if consuming the herb while pregnant. However, Fenugreek is also commonly used to induce breastmilk production.* It is completely safe to consume while lactating.
Blessed thistle is a galactagogue, taken to enhance breast milk supply.* It works best when combined with fenugreek and fennel seed. For the best results, breastfeed more often or pump after or between feedings while you're taking this herb. Blessed thistle, or any herb, is more likely to work when there's an increase in breast stimulation. Even though it is considered safe to use while you're breastfeeding, blessed thistle should not be taken during pregnancy. Blessed thistle is a uterine stimulant that can cause contractions.
A mother's breast milk is nature's way of providing nutrients to your baby. Premama Lactation can't even compete with what you can do yourself! The goal of Premama Lactation is instead to enhance what your body naturally makes with Folic Acid, Vitamin D3, and Calcium. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, "…breast milk alone does not provide infants with an adequate intake of vitamin D." Breast milk contains only 25 IU of Vitamin D, while the recommended intake for infants is 400 IU. Premama Lactation contains 800 IU of Vitamin D3 to help your baby meet this requirement. Folic Acid and Calcium also help fortify breast milk to ensure that your newborn has all that it needs to grow up healthy and strong.*
Premama Lactation contains a proprietary blend of special herbs called galactagogues: blessed thistle, fennel seed, fenugreek, and red raspberry leaf powder. Galactagogues are herbs that are known for increasing breast milk production.* Researchers found that lactating mothers who took galactagogue supplements in moderation had to supplement with formula less often than mothers that took a placebo, and their babies tended to gain more weight.* For more in-depth information on boosting your milk supply, visit our blog post.
Yes. However, as with any supplement if you are pregnant, breastfeeding or taking medication, please consult your doctor before use.
